The Sebesta Research Group

Laboratory of asymmetric catalysis and green chemistry

Our research focus on asymmetric catalysis and non-classical methods in organic synthesis. We develop new chiral metalocene ligands and organocatalysts for stereoselective reactions. Our group also study relationship between catalyst structure and catalyzed reaction by experimental as well as computational methods. One of the main motives of our research is sustainable chemistry. We try to improve effectiveness of asymmetric catalyzed reactions by use of novel recyclable homogeneous supported catalysts, use of non-traditional reaction media or conditions or by combining several suitable reactions into a one-pot processes.

We are commited to advancing of scientific knowledge, in motivating and friendly working environment which enables growth of all our members.
